be still

Well well...I am ready to mail out my "pay-it-forward" projects, just waiting for some stamps. I am not making Christmas Cards this year. I am taking a break. Please don't feel sad if you don't get a holday card from me.

I've been getting a lot of questions about my art journal. I named the book "Color Binge". Every day, while the Carry-On is eating breakfast, I hastily slop paper and paint together to make a page. I usually write the journaling later in the day or when something hits me. It's never really planned. I just go for it. I highly recommend this process...it is very liberating not to have to make something for someone else to purchase...or not towards a challenge. It is "raw Luggage". I am glad you like it! It makes me so happy to read all of your comments and it keeps me going! Afterall, there will end up being 120 pages in Color Binge once it is finished! Baby steps... have a nice Monday!

Hi Julie,

This is great fun to read about your process. I love the ones like this that are so figurative.

We had an ice storm so next week I will disappear for a few days ... but you will know why.

I love this page! The words are magical...the images are beautiful! I 'm going to make the leap to do an art journal starting January 1. Thanks for all the inspiration!

This page is very cool. I like the message and of course, the birds. How long does it take you to decide what to put on the page? You do a great job no matter how long it takes.

You have to take what time you get. I am glad you are using your creative time in this way, it has been a really interesting read, especially on the days where I have done nothing creative at all. Keep it coming!

Julie,
This is beautiful. I love all your pages but I truly love the birds and the layers. You are doing such a marvelous job, hanging with the process through all this craziness. You're an inspiration to us all.
