The Singing Bird....
I am still in love with glassine envelopes! I love the feel and look of them. They take ink really well too! So for the Julification of this card, I used justjohanna images and some vintage French book pages. Versafine ink is the only way to go when you use book paper; other ink will bleed.
The scalloped edge on the top of this card is the scrap of paper I messed around with for the sidebar décor on my blog. I love to add pencil and pen lines to each project..I love to make the piece look dirty. I am not a big fan of a crisp and clean stamped image.
The background for this piece is one of the watercolor background papers I recently wrote about. It is coated with shimmer wash; I also edged the paper with Galaxy Gold ink as well as some doodles with my Stardust pen. If I ever meet the person who invented the stardust pen, he/she better watch out…I’m coming in for a great big kiss. I love that pen!
I have never been a big “reader” so it is surprising to me that looking for a quote to put on my tags is so enjoyable! I am having fun with these and I hope you enjoy them too.
See you tomorrow!

I love it! The colors and the texture are wonderful! A friend just sent me two books in French to use! I'm so excited to be able to use them.

I am not a big fan of a crisp and clean stamped image.
Will you still be my friend if I say I *love* crisp and clean? :(
Yes I AM enjoying your glassine envelopes and quotes! They are beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll make tomorrow. By the way, where does one find glassine envelopes. These really are unique and beautiful!
Well, originally I saw a project in Somerset using a vintage glassine envelope...that's what sparked my ideas.. Rather than hunt for weeks at the flea, I odered new envelopes from somewhere in Canada I think. They are pretty cheap.
Cool quote. Kinda deep. I'll have to think about what it means tomorrow when I'm more awake. Love that home-made paper.
This card is beautiful! So soft and peaceful. I love the tag quote!
