Just like the white winged dove....

In 1982, Sony launched the first consumer compact disc player, the first Rubik’s cube championships were held in Budapest and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” is released and quickly becomes the biggest selling album of all time in entertainment history.

Some people enjoy “tagging” their online friends to find out more about them. I don’t “tag”. How could you possibly find out more about a person than by reading their favorite songs of 1982? What could be so bad about that? Sheesh.

Eye Of The Tiger, Survivor
Centerfold, J. Geils Band
Don't You Want M, Human League
Jack And Diane, John Cougar
Abracadabra, Steve Miller Band
Harden My Heart, Quarterflash
867-5309 (Jenny), Tommy Tutone
Shake It Up, Cars
We Got The Beat, Go-Go's
Only The Lonely, Motels
Who Can It Be Now?, Men At Work
Pac-man Fever, Buckner and Garcia
Freeze-frame, J. Geils Band
Do You Believe In Love, Huey Lewis and The News
Our Lips Are Sealed, Go-Go's
I Ran, A Flock Of Seagulls
Don't Stop Bellevin', Journey (a new place in my heart)
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Police
Vacation, Go-Go's
(Oh) Pretty Woman, Van Halen (David over Sammy ANY day)
Hot In The City, Billy Idol
Kids In America, Kim Wilde
Working For The Weekend, Loverboy
Arthur's Theme, Christopher Cross (all time favorite)
Edge Of Seventeen, Stevie Nicks

I am running out of nineteen eighties! There are only three more weeks of 80's Tuesdays! Can you dig it? Don't forget to leave a post and tell me what your favorite songs of 1982 were...you get extra points for sharing a little too!

Ciao!

As I'm reading this list, I'm singing each song in my head. I think there were only two that didn't pop right out into song, but I know if I heard them I'd know them. Nice job, Julie. My fav songs of 1982? Um, I think I was "skin-a-ma-rinky-dinky-dink, skinnamarinkydo!" Tony was only 2 in 1982, so I was into the kid songs. Itsy bitsy spider....

Holy smokes....I like nearly all of them! I feel like dancing now. I saw Journey and The Cars in concert. Ahhh, those were the days. I never did get the Steve Perry thing, oh well. Thanks for the journey. There is something about 867-5309 and We Got the Beat that still makes me want to sing along. I love 80's tuesdays!

LOL!!! This reads like a playlist from high school. Amazing that more than 20 years later (not to mention 3 kids - you know how fast they destroy brain cells) I can still sing those songs. TFS!
