WS: Words

I could not look past my daily journal when I read the theme for this week's Wednesday Stamper. I sat down with some pens, a couple of backgroud stamps and this is what "came out". Regular readers know that I have been showing my home since May 1st. Shortly after listing, we thinned out the contents and packed a lot of stuff away...including the majority of my art supplies. This page is about what I look forward to once we move....date unknown.

So, with my shoebox full of my favorite supplies, this is what you get. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by!

editors note: I challenge each of you to work with whatever medium you love with only the supplies that will fit into a shoebox for a month...no cheating. Welcome to my world. Oh- I forgot to mention...you can't make a mess or leave anything out to dry. Why? Because potential buyers may come by at any minute and you have a 22 month old running amuck.

Cheers!

I don't think I could pare down my supplies to fit in a shoebox. That must be excrutiating. I hope you will be able to have a craft room in the new house.

I can totally relate and appreciate your artistic and amusing approach to adversity. Best wishes for a successful sale and relocation soon. In the meantime, it sounds like you have chosen evolution over the "waiting place."

I notice you love this color-turquoise or is it the only one in your box?! I'm very proud of you. You have done a remarkable job considering all the stresses of homeselling, child rearing and lack of supplies at your fingertips. When we sold our house in Santa Barbara and moved to San Diego I had none of my supplies. I went to the store and bought a shoebox full of crayons, glue and glitter and created- longing for my stuff in storage. I know how you feel. You'll be FREE soon.. I promise. Can't wait till you're closer.

I don't have a scraproom so I feel your pain. I see cool tools at the store and think, nope, no room.

First, good luck with the move. Second, what a great idea, Julie! The less stuff the more creative we feel. This is absolutely great advice!!
